At the foundation is Hyaluronic acid – powerful skin hydrating agent which, as the skin ages, becomes less and less in our dermis. When used in its non-crosslinked form, especially in high concentration, as in the instance of Karisma skinbooster, it very effectively penetrates the extracellular matrix. The rapidly improved hydration is the foundation for renewed synthesis of collagen.
To allow for the HA to work longer and more effectively, the carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) will slow down the Hyaluronidase enzyme, which naturally dissolves Hyaluronic acid. This vastly extends the life of HA molecules and allows them to hydrated the skin longer.
Finally, Karisma utilizes a r-Polypeptide α1 Chain, which is a key component in collagen production, inducing fibroblast to not only synthesize more collagen, as it is a precursor to endogenous collagen production. It ensures that procollagen molecules will correctly wrap in triple helix strains, which improves the strengths and elasticity of the produced collagen and by extension – that of the skin.
