Description
At the heart of the Lexya PLLAWER, as the name would suggest it is the PLLA or Poly-L-Lactic acid. This is a completely biocompatible and biodegradable polymer, which is a very powerful collagen stimulator. The booster is developer by the Korean company Double J Holdings and is specifically tailored towards treatment of very deep wrinkles, restoration of contour and overall stimulation of the neocollagenesis process in the ECM. A single vial of the product contains 200mg in powdered form, with a particle size of the PLLA microspheres in the range of 30-50 µm. In the mix there is CMC (Carboxymethyl Cellulose) which vastly improves the overall distribution of the polymer spheres in the dermis. To created the perfect conditions Hyaluronic acid in its salt form, Sodium Hyaluronate, is also included, as it improves moisturization, while the trehalose slows downs the skin aging effect with its powerful antioxidant properties, as well as boost of moisture retention.
Usually, Lexyal PLLAWER is applied to the SubQ layer of the skin, using a cannula – anywhere from 23G to 25G should do. The overall effect of the PLLA collagen stimulator is multi stage. First and visible improvements can be observed as early as two weeks although the proper neocollagenesis will really kick in around week three to four. It takes about half and year for the skin to fully absorb the Poly-L-Lactide spheres (as noted – safe and fully biodegradable), but the collagen which was synthesized in the extracellular matrix will remain anywhere from 12 months to a year and a half.
Key features
- Main ingredient – 200mg of Poly-L-Lactic acid powder per vial;
- Size of the PLLA sphere – 30–50 µm, which is considered uniform;
- Additional excipients:
- Sodium Hyaluronate – improves hydration;
- Carboxymethyl Cellulose – improves distribution;
- Trehalose – antioxidant, improves moisture retention;
- Depth of application – subcutaneous dermal layer;
- Stages of Lexyal PLLAWER effect:
- Week 1-2: initial volume restoration due to PLLA’s effect;
- Week 3-4: maximum stimulation of the fibroblasts and peak collagen production;
- 6 months: complete absorption of the Poly-L-Lactide spheres;
- 12-18 months: restored ECM and collagen deposits, improved supportive properties of the SubQ layer of the skin;
- Preparation:
- Mix a single vial with 7 to 8 ml of sterile saline;
- Add 1ml of Liodcaine, mix well and leave for about half an hour;
- Administer using a 23G-25G sized cannula;
- Overall benefits:
- Skin tightening, visible lifting and volume restoration via a natural process;
- Almost no side effects and a safe product formula;
- Very long-lasting effects of collagen boosting;
